Election Day Freebie!

Are you holding classroom elections in honor of Election Day?

Election Day is almost here!

I don't know about you and your classroom, but my Kindergarteners don't quite grasp the concept of the Presidential Election.  So I was searching around for some supercute Election Day clipart  to make an easy book for my students to read and found some from Melonheadz Illustrations.  I am in absolute awe of Nikki's talent and would love to buy every piece of her clipart!  After the 60 minutes I spent on the Melonheadz blog, I purchased her Election Day clipart and created this emergent reader about the current presidential candiates.  Hope you like it too, I love it!

New Freebie

We have a new freebie to share!!
If you're in the same boat we are, then this freebie is for you!  Our beginning of the year assessments are complete and we need some direct practice.  When you assess a skill for only 60 seconds, fluency is the key so we created some practice sheets.

Click HERE to get your copy!  If you liked the look of it check out the entire set at our store.
Happy practicing!!

Kindergarten Math in October

I don't know about your classroom, but we're just now settling down and actually have a routine day! It took a lot of work to get where we are....and because of that, I feel my Math instruction is suffering.
So last night I came up with a dice game to get things back on track. Two years ago I downloaded a game called roll a penguin and my students really like it. Remembering that, I came up with roll a Frankenstein! And I will have to say, I impressed myself!!

Click HERE to check it out and tell me what you think!

Happy rolling!

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to our Krazy in Love with Kindergarten blog! Kathy Romano and I are coworkers at Simpson Elementary in Bridgeport, WV and can't wait to share ideas with you!!

The first one is a freebie!

We've been working hard on our Teachers pay Teachers site and want to invite you to come and take a look with a free Halloween reader.  This reader with the title I Can See the Ghosts uses easy sight words in a repeative pattern as well as numbers or number words, depending on the level of the student.
